Scope

ALOS Micrographic Corporation is a versatile distribution, sales, service, support, consulting and manufacturing enterprise that focuses on document management solutions.


ALOS is a national and international leader in document management through our lines of micrographic and electronic imaging products. Our products and services are sold directly to end users in the Hudson River Valley. In other areas of the United States, in Latin America and other export markets we sell through a dealer network. Our products are also sold on an OEM basis to other micrographic companies, and into the worldwide export market.

ALOS Micrographics Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Switzerland - based ALOS Holding AG. We also have sister companies, ALOS AG, which is located in Zurich, Switzerland, ALOS GmbH, located in Cologne, Germany and DD Dokumenten- und Datenservice GmbH, located in Stuttgart, Germany.

History

The first ALOS company, ALOS AG of Switzerland, was founded in 1946 to produce photo-technical equipment for use in the reprographic and document management industry.


ALOS was established in the United States in 1977 as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of microfilm equipment for Eastman Kodak. Today, our OEM customer list has grown and also includes other international companies. Although we still produce micrographic equipment, our products and services have expanded with the fast-paced information and document management industry.


In 1980, we began selling our full line of micrographic equipment under the ALOS label through a national and international dealer network. In 1991, ALOS introduced its first electronic filing system, ALOSVIEW, which evolved into the current DocuWare product line.


Today, ALOS proudly continues our over 30 year tradition of outstanding service by providing a full range of document management and preservation solutions.

Headquarters

ALOS United States headquarters are located in Montgomery, New York, which is near the crossroads on Interstate 87 and Interstate 84. We are only hours away from New York City, Boston, Buffalo, Albany and Philadelphia. Our building is a state-of-the art 40,000-square foot facility, which encompasses offices, a manufacturing plant and warehouse.
